Jen Yih | She/Her
Jen Yih’s yoga journey began in childhood. For almost twenty years since the age of 3, she trained as a ballerina deeply studying and practicing the art of classical ballet. Starting in 4th grade, yoga became a regular part of her routine, enriching her mind-body connection counterbalancing the high demands of ballet training. She later went on to start a 200-hr teacher training at a Corepower Yoga studio on the South Shore of O'ahu, Hawai'i and finish teacher training in Portland, Oregon in 2014. Since receiving her certification she has taught a variety of wellness retreats internationally, as well as studios in the Portland metro area and currently where she resides in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Her teaching style blends the fluidity of Vinyasa with mindfulness at its core through meditation and music. She strives to "get out of the way" and allow each individual to explore their practice freely, fostering an expressive and soulful experience. She acknowledges that yoga originates from ancient Indian traditions and is a borrowed practice, and is committed to honoring its heritage and elders rather than appropriating it.
Jen is also a paraprofessional certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, educator, & activist who believes in accessible & inclusive nutrition education for all; through a compassionate, non judgemental approach that honor’s each individual's bio-individuality, circumstances & unique life story. She believes healthcare is a fundamental human right and takes a nature-based approach backed by science prioritizing natural remedies and solutions through food, movement, lifestyle, and sleep. She is an eating-disorder survivor (bulimia, anorexia, orthorexia) & healing from endometriosis (a “non-curable” condition within the uterine lining). She identifies as bi-racial, multicultural (Chinese / Italian / Brazilian), and bi-lingual (Brazilian Portuguese & English) POC. Cisgender. She/Her.

Ingrid Scott
With the lived experience of disability, nervous system regulation and the connection between body, mind and spirit, Ingrid Scott felt called to open a community movement studio in her neighborhood of Northeast Portland, Oregon called Roseway Yoga and Movement (later called Rose Hips) in 2013. The studio became an important hub for therapeutic movement, hosting many modalities and gifted teachers for nearly 10 years.
Ingrid created Dance Pod, her somatic dance aerobics class, in 2015 through self discovery and exploration with somatic-based movement, dance expression and the body’s systems. She studied somatics and therapeutic dance for 15 years under several teachers who helped her shape healing around her life’s most traumatic experiences.
Developing Dance Pod was a response to recognizing the need for an accessible group dance healing arts modality. Ingrid was born with clubbed feet and hip dysplasia. She had surgeries, wore casts and braces for her first years of life. Her physical disability uniquely shapes her ability to teach through the lens of honoring the body. She teaches Dance Pod to empower, share and practice the wisdom and knowledge she has cultivated throughout her journey.
Ingrid offers Dance Pod and other movement, ceremony and meditation practices workshops, retreats, ceremonies, movement events with babies and their parents, private gatherings and conferences.Dance Pod has been featured as an embodiment and intuition workshop for the Oregon Department of Education, where Ingrid was a facilitator for a faculty-wide learning journey supporting intuitive knowledge, alternative ways of knowing and dismantling dominator culture and white supremacy.
